With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, you will certainly have time to make this Heart Quilt. Yes the directions look like they are a little sketchy but they are not. If you read them all the way through before you begin, it will be much easier to accomplish.
This is really a very clever project as you sew your squares together first and then you cut the heart shape out. If you are a little nervous about cutting it out, lay your 4 X 4 squares on a piece of newspaper or roll paper. Cut a piece the same size as your 4 X 4 and use the paper as a practice template until you get your desired heart shape. A very nice and easy beginner project because it is fairly simply and the finished product looks like you spent hours.
