Simple and striking, this modern take on a peppermint is a festive quilt for the holidays. Designed by Christopher Thompson for the Sew Can She mini quilt event, all of the instructions can be found on her website.

Using only three colors, this does have some paper piecing elements to it, but it is not a difficult pattern. In fact, it is probably a good introduction to the technique.

Along with the downloadable pattern, you will find detailed step-by-step instructions and photographs to help you make your mini quilt. There are also some useful tips along the way.

Sometimes a mini is the perfect project. Often they are easy to make and don’t take too much time. Perfect for around the holidays when there are so many other things going on.
