In the spirit of patriotism, Deb Gehringer embarked on a creative journey to celebrate the upcoming summer season and patriotic holidays in the US. With Memorial Day, Flag Day, and the Fourth of July approaching, she sought a project that would embody this sentiment while providing a refreshing break from larger quilting endeavors.

Armed with leftover fabrics from previous projects, including blue and red, Deb found inspiration in a free flag tutorial from Cluck Cluck Sew.

Though the original tutorial produced a pillow, Deb adapted it to create a charming mini quilt, perfect for adorning her sewing room door.
