An easy quilt to assemble, this festive Halloween quilt is a fun and scrappy project to make. Just looks at all of the different theme fabrics that were used. I doubt I’m only quilter out there with plenty of scrap fabrics that I need to use.
Of course, it would also be a good excuse to purchase some new fabric. Halloween fabrics are some of the most fun ones available and there are plenty to choose from.
Designed over on the Jedi Craft Girl blog, not only does this pattern use lots of scrap fabrics, there are five adorable appliqué blocks to adds some extra special cuteness. You’ll find shapes including a ghost, spiders, bats, a cat and a little BOO. All of the appliqué patterns are provided in a free downloadable pdf template.
This is a lap quilt measuring 55″ x 55″ when complete. It requires standard quilting and sewing supplies to complete, however you do need to have some things for the appliqué shapes. Detailed instructions, including step-by-step photos are provided.
Doesn’t everyone need a cute quilt for Halloween? Well this free pattern is a perfect way to get one. You can find it here: Happy Haunting Halloween Quilt
