Tutorial: Patchwork Acorn Potholder + Free Pattern

October 6, by Scarlett Burroughs. 2 Comments

patchwork-acorn-potholder-tutorialLately, the squirrels are noisily scooping up acorns like there’s no tomorrow in my front yard. Two things are contributing to this scene – a change of season and a prolific pecan tree.

The acorn is the perfect symbol for Autumn, so why not make a few potholders in that shape to celebrate its arrival. Jedi Craft Girl will show you how with a guest tutorial she did at Therm-o-Web.

Click here, Fusible Fleece Patchwork Acorn Potholder, to get the know-how.

Editor’s note: You will need to have a Dropbox account to download the free acorn pattern.

Update 10/7/2016: Thanks for your comment Andrea. She discovered you do not have to have a Dropbox account to download this pattern. She says to look for the arrow and you can choose how you want to get it. Thank you!!! I try the downloads myself to make sure they work. And as I often learn, there is more than one way to do things. Ha!

Scarlett, no, you don’t need dropbox..at the top right hand corner there is an arrow. If you tap it, you can choose between sideloading it to dropbox or getting a direct download. Even my “on its last legs” NOOK downloaded it
