Elizabeth Hartman from Oh, Fransson! did a guest post at The Modern Quilt Guild blog as part of their 100 Days of Modern Quilting – Week of Prints. She took store-bought fabric and transformed it with bleach. She explains,
Bleach discharge is very simple. Fabric is soaked in a water and bleach bath for a period of time, during which the bleach in the water may discharge (remove or alter) some of the dye in the fabric.
