Quintuple Squares quilt…yes please

Inspiration comes from many places for us quilters, not just media targeted to our needs. I found this indoor/outdoor rug, fittingly called ‘Pyramid Blocks’ today at Overstock.com. I’m going to call it ‘Quintuple Squares’. I’ve made something similar to this design as a gift quilt to my brother, but with patterned and solid fabrics and more color.

If you are a beginning quilter, or experienced but in a time crunch, this would be a great pattern choice. You could modify Heidi Pridemore’s ‘Around the Block’ Halloween quilt. The piecing concepts will work for five blocks as well as three.
