Are you looking for a cute and easy mini quilt pattern that is fresh and fruity? Well here you are. How can you not love this pineapple from Sassafras Lane Designs?! The best part (at least for me) is that it is entirely scrappy. I am always on the lookout for patterns that use up my scrap fabric pieces.
Quick fun fact about pineapples: Did you know that the part of the pineapple we eat is actually the flower?
This charming quilt measures 8.5″ x 11.5 inches when finished. That’s the size of a piece of paper! As far as the supplies that you will need, they are pretty basic and include assorted scraps and fabric for the binding and backing. I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that most of you who have quilted before will have these things on hand.
The pattern itself is an easy combination of squares and half square triangles, so it is a good pattern for a beginner. I love the black and white striped border on the one corner. It adds a certain pop to the project.
