Loreen of Loreen Leedy’s Studio made this wonderful quilt top she says has a distinctive masculine vibe. I call it modern, and I heart it. Go here to see Loreen’s creative process as she auditions fabrics, adds value separation and even sneaks in some flannel! Her use of yellow* fabric stands out.

*Someone in my local quilter’s guild said the secret to making a successful quilt is to always add in some yellow.
