Make a ruffled quilt from fat quarters

May 8, 2015 by Scarlett Burroughs

Ruffled Quilt tutorialMua-ha-ha-ha-ha! Deby of So Sew Easy has come up with a long-arm quilter’s nightmare, a quilt top with lots of ruffles. She takes you step-by-step how to make such a top. The photo here, shows a bit of her finished top. Pretty. She simplifies the project by using fat quarters plus gives out a brilliant tip for gathering to prevent thread breaks.

    WHAT IS A FAT QUARTER?

Good question Dana. It’s a specialty cut. Instead of 9 inches width in a regular cut, a fat quarter gives you approximately 18″ X 22″ of work surface.
