Saw Daniel Rouse’s art quilt and thought of all the spouses left behind this weekend since Modern Gun Deer season started today. Deer Widows they are sometimes called. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission explains what Modern Gun – Deer means for Arkansans below:

Shooting Hours:	30 Minutes Before Sunrise Until 30 Minutes After Sunset
Limits:	Seasonal Statewide Bag Limit: Six deer, no more than two legal bucks. Zone Limit: Four deer, no more than two legal bucks. No more than two legal bucks and up to two does may be taken during muzzleloader and modern gun seasons combined. Does may be taken Nov. 12-16. Dogs are allowed Nov. 12-Dec. 4 in Zone 1A.
