Elizabeth Dackson of Don’t Call Me Betsy added a new stocking for her youngest, Lorelei, now old enough to ‘get’ Christmas. Sans fireplace, not a problem when you have seven wonderfully crafted quilted stockings on the hooks. The feeling of celebration made me think of the famous poem, “Twas the Night Before Christmas”, particularly the line,
‘The stockings were hung by the chimney with care’
Nicely done. It’s the feeling of Christmas that we want our decor to encourage and she succeeded.
