Kati of From the Blue Chair used some of this fabric, shown, in a quilt block here saying she loves it. Thankfully she shared the name of it in her post – Natural Essex Linen by Robert Kaufman. I suspect the reason for the love is (despite the name) it’s made up of 55% linen and 45% cotton, so it handles better than 100% linen. If you’ve ever sewn with 100% linen, you know it stretches easily. I found this swatch of Natural Essex Linen at Marmalade Fabrics. Anyone else want to try this for sewing/quilting? If you have and love it leave a comment and share your experience.
