Get ready for the holidays with this beautiful Christmas tree quilt from Jolly Jabber, the Fat Quarter Shop blog. With the large tree in the center, surrounded by a scrappy border, the design is quite striking, yet simple. The absolute best part of this project is that there is a free pattern for a mini version too! I love making minis.
Measuring the 59″ x 59″, the regular pattern is designed to be made with two charm packs and background fabric. It is an easy pattern to assemble. The mini version measures 26 1/2″ x 26 1/2″ and is made with 2 mini charm packs and background fabric.
Not only can you download the free pattern, there is a video tutorial available as well. That is a great option for those of you who like learning via videos.
If you don’t have charm packs, and prefer not to buy new fabric, this pattern would be good for using up scrap fabrics. However, the nice thing about using the precuts is that you don’t have to worry about any cutting for the tree and border. You only have to cut the background fabric.
This is such a festive quilt and it would look lovely displayed in your home.
