Log Cabin fans, this one’s for you. I received an evaluation copy of this quilting pattern book 101 Log Cabin Blocks created by House of White Birches released this month. Product Description: This book is 112 pages and includes diagrams for creating a variety of traditional Log Cabin blocks in four sizes. It also offers new variations on the usual rectangular strip shapes, with logs that become flowers, houses, hearts and animals.
Pros: The patterns are full size so you don’t have to worry about resizing. They are numbered for paper/foundation piecing. The blocks are in color.
Cons: I realize it’s a quilt block pattern book, but I would have loved to see some full size quilts made from the blocks, just a few to inspire me.
This would be a good reference book for traditional quilt guilds.
