Alix at Mamaka Mills laid out a quilt top on her design board, shown. Using plaid shirting fabric from retail samples she came up with a construction technique for the square block she calls Peek-a-boo. When asked why she created the squares this way she explains,
I wanted to give them a pop of color but not cut them up and disrupt the plaid design! So I decided to just do a cut out and ta dah! It looks totally awesome when it’s completely sewn together and top quilted! I love this technique!
I cannot wait to try this. Click HERE to get the know-how.
