Calling all quilters! Christina from A Few Scraps is participating in the Burning Man Festival by bringing a treadle sewing machine, supplies and blocks to Black Rock City. Anyone attending the festival can sew a quilt top together and take it home or leave it for the next person. This is where quilters come in. She explains,
We need quilt blocks. Lots of em. ANY fabrics, ANY style, ANY pattern, ANY skill level. Size: 12.5″ square (for 12 inch finished blocks). If you have a block that’s not big enough, slap some borders on it!

I participated in this project on the desert. One of the most magical things I did. Did anyone capture any photos?
I would love to see them: [email protected]

Hi SuzQ, So good to hear from a participant. My grandmother had a treadle. I loved it! Hopefully someone will post some photos of the event.
