Rosa Parks was born on this day in 1914. Read more about her here. Sherry Shine created this art quilt to commemorate Rosa’s contributions to civil rights for African-Americans. She includes President Obama because she explains he too is an icon representing fearlessness. Fearless is the title of the art quilt. Technique: Painted on whole cloth then machine quilted.
