Gail, love the quilt, on the bottom row there are two blocks the same side by side.
Very pretty quilt — the hexagons are not all placed down the same way — some are the flat side up and others are points facing up & down.
I beleive this quilt is beautiful just the way it is.
However perhaps the top row center block might look better in the center of the quilt as its the only one with a red back ground.
I don’t see any mistakes. I think this is an awesome quilt. I love the colors.
I agree, it’s an awesome quilt. Maybe not what Gail intended, but fine ‘as is’.
Though I love getting all your comments, make sure you also leave them at Quilters Harvest to be entered in Gail’s drawing.
The hexagons are not arranged in the same way, and the colour of the second flower in the first line is different with the others. But still, this is a lovely quilt. The ‘mistakes’ show Gail’s creativity in a special way.
blocks 2,3,7 are set on a different angle than the others. Center of block 9 is off.
The pdf for the pattern easy charm quilt is damaged . Cannot download pattern .
Ann
Ann, hello
I just went to the post and clicked on the link to the charm quilt and it downloaded just fine for me. It may be that you need to install the latest version of PDF reader. Here’s the link http://get.adobe.com/reader/
Try that and see if that fixes your issue. Let me know.
Regards,
Scarlett

Thanks for spreading the word!!
Great idea Amy. I’m enjoying seeing everyone’s entries. -Scarlett
Wow! I really love this quilt and how it came together.
This quilt is so happy! Bright and pretty….love the fact that it went to someone who had lost everything…lovely!
LOVE it!
I know I have weddings on the brain…But think of the possibilities for a wedding quilt! And putting the blocks together would make for a fun shower activity.
Thank you for visiting my post at Blisstree about Teri Power and the unique “earth” quilt she created. She certainly opens our minds to the great possibilities when we take quilting to another level.
What a wonderful story. Your quilt is so cute. I am a huge fan of dogs. Thanks for sharing.
Love these colourful houses, great job!
Super cute quilt! Love that you had your group members help with the fabric selections. Thanks for sharing
Very nice colors. Just adorable
I LOVE this. Puppies are the best. You might be interested in a group called Dogs on Thursday. You can find the link on my blog.

I love her dad’s baby quilt! Beautiful!
If you’d like some ideas on how to use the beautiful furoshiki you’ve created, please have a look at our blog

Happy knotting!
Love this free pattern! Thank you so much for sharing. Love your blog! I’m a fan.
I love it! I want a diva quilt!
The pattern I used for her is by Amy Bradley and the pattern is called Quilt Diva. If you “Google” it online, you can easily find the pattern. It’s a lot of work but it’s fun!!!
Pat, Thanks for letting readers know where to get the Quilt Diva pattern.
WOW!!! What a striking design!
Hi Scarlett, thanks for including my cat design on your blog. This was from a picture of my sister’s cat Bonny, but we have a lovely grey cat Hector who is almost the same.
Bonny – what a sweet name. I had a German Shephard named Bonnie. I have a grey cat too, named Lacey. I also have a Siamese, my first boy cat and very affectionate. Cats are the best. Thanks for the note.–Scarlett
I am very much a L in fabric making but have a go at small projects, but your work is inspirational. I do like this quilt, thanks for the pattern.
Thanks so much for featuring “Kitty, Kitty, Kitty” in your blog!
Warmest & best,
Lisa Cartier-Gruen

I especially love that terrific Kaffe fabric you used in Kitty, Kitty, Kitty. I have it in my stash and used it in a quilt top (waiting to be quilted).
Scarlett
Thanks, Scarlett- I love that fabric too….have the smallest piece of it left…deciding what special thing to use it for!
Lisa
Oh so cute! This is certainly being added to my list of makes – anything must be better than my current ‘between the lips’ method!
[...] Fat Cats Quilt. I bet CatLady Marsha would like this one. [...]
Sorry I am not the designer of the horse, please remove this info and provide the correct information. Thank You
Ronda,
I’m sorry that I got the designer information wrong. I corrected my post.
Thank you so much for letting me know.

The Wish Upon A Quilt sale offers 10% off your entire order, not just sale items. Good through 5/22. Must use code MAYSALE. Go to http://www.wishuponaquilt.com.
Cathy,
Wow, that is a blowout sale. I corrected this error in the post. Thanks!
This is adorable!
After writing the post, I had to remind myself it was past my bedtime, cause I wanted to rush out and buy a copy of Quilts and more.
I picked up the mag on my lunch hour today. Yeah!
I love these appliques. During the early 70’s I recycled clothing and made my little sister’s play clothes. I would applique the designs either on the top, shorts or pants. They loved the dog, cat, goose and kangaroo.
I am dying to get my hands on her fabric!!!! I am a huge fan…
~Emily
yes me like this pic
Thanks for the heads up!
Thank you SO much for this topic. It’s perfect for someone like me who is new to quilting and overwhelmed by a full size project, but who also has a fabulous scrap stash a mile high!
Welcome to quilting Mary! Please share your finished or even ‘in progress’ charm pack quilt with us. Scarlett
Good for her. That’s what I like to see
You know, this is way more modern than I like, but it is really really interesting! I just want to sit and stare at it! I also love the fabric choices…
Come to think of it, it seems to remind me of science fiction book covers I have seen. Call me crazy, but thats what it brings to (my) mind.
I can see the planetary connection.
Scarlett
I love this… how touching and timely! Thank you so much for sharing!
Thanks for spreading the news, Scarlett!
This is a wonderful book. The technique can be used for more then just floorcloths.
I love it..I could use the design for a stepping stone to place in cashs’ favorite place outside. Char
That would be perfect!
Thanks for you testing. We’ll try to improve it.
Oh, that’s nice of you! Thanks.
katie

Yolunde,

I ran across this at our local quilting/fabric shop last weekend. I was so amazed at the softness considering it was made of recycled plastic. WONDERFUL!
HELP!! I’M TRYING TO FIND THE FRUIT LADIES FABRIC SO I CAN BUY SOME.. HOW DO I DO THIS??
HELP!!
Spool blocks are one of my favorite patterns! It’s easy to sew up and it makes a great scrappy quilt. Great way to use up thrift buys and scrap piles.
that is fantastic…i have been wondering where i can get scraps and will try that myself. The look of this quilt is gorgeous and has character….kudos to you!!! what a genius! Thanks
One of those categories that also mystifies me! I usually practice with scraps and use trial and error to figure out dimensions! Thanks for highlighting this class!
Colette,
Thanks for your comment. I’m glad to know I’m not alone. I plan to sign up for this class and afterwards I’ll let everyone know how I liked it. –Scarlett
P.S. I love your name!
Loretta,
Thanks for your comment. It’s one of my favorites too. I look forward to my next trip to a thrift store.
Nancy, Here is a link to the fruit ladies fabric manufacturer, they will likely list where it’s available. Be sure and share anything you make with this fabric line on our Craft Gossip Flickr Group at http://www.flickr.com/groups/craftgossip/

Since I visit a huge number of blogs daily, and so many have a lot of extraneous scripts running, I have opted to use FireFox with the NoScripts add on. This lets you choose which scripts you will allow to run when you visit a website.
This has two advantages. If someone adds a script to their blog with malicious code embedded (often without the knowledge of the blogger), you can block it. Second, your blogs will load much faster without all of the scripts so many bloggers seem to feel necessary on their website, especially audio, video, and slide shows that take forever to load.
Jodith,
Thanks for sharing the way you deal with not only viruses, but performance.
Fat Thingies…. that would be my husband that would have said that. How funny! Bye the way.. I just LOVE buying those Fat Thingies!! Can’t get enough of them.
I just love buying those Fat Thingies too!
So do I, especially when you are along Cyndi. You don’t let me miss anything I might like!
The tutorial instructs you to use a rotary cutter.
I’ve done a bit of this, and trust me, scissors are much easier for cutting curves.
i love quilting, i simple love it,
i love making handmade quilts,, as i use to do with my grandmother, we had so much fun, making quilts,,and believe me, they were warm in the winter, i live in Kentucky, and it sure gets cold here in winter, and it snows all winter long, so quilts sure come in handy,,, thank you,,, jerri,
Jerri,
I sleep every night under a quilt my grandmother made. The thing I love about sleeping with quilts is they are both warm and cool at the same time. So glad you have wonderful memories of quilting with your grandmother. Thanks for sharing.
–Scarlett
Michele,
Thanks for the tip! I’ve tried free hand cutting with my rotary cutter one time and I was pleased with the results, but results are bound to be variable doing it this way.
I like this handmade giveaway. It open worldwide entry?
I didn’t see where they said so on their Website, so probably not. To see for sure, email them and ask.
What a wonderful compliment you gave me and my art quilt! You are the greatest.
I love this process of photo transfering onto canvas. Thanks for sharing this technique.
I look forward to trying it. -Scarlett
I was already a big fan but this one ROCKS! I have been trying to decide on a new project. Thank you for finding this! I will be making one for each of my grown children for Christmas.

After oooing and aahhing over all of the beautiful photos of completed Single Girl quilts, I knew that I had to have this pattern. I too had a difficult time finding one. As of this morning, they had them at Cia’s Palette, but I decided to purchase the pattern directly from Denyse Schmidt’s website: http://www.dsquilts.com.
Thanks Erica for letting us know where to get one. Be sure and share your Single Girl quilt with us.
What an interesting article. Thanks for sharing. I love quilt history stuff.
Scarlette, thanks so much for both your compliments and the link! Craft Gossip is a fabulous blog.
This is so cute. I could see it jazzing up a plain tote (I have a thing about brooches on totes or bags).

Thank you for letting us know about this fun giveaway!
thanks for the chance to win. Sure would love to get a new pattern.
What a beautiful quilt. It is not often you see something and automatically know how it would look in a certain place and how you would feel seeing it there. It happens sometimes and that quilt just did it to me.
Same here, this quilt spoke to me!
I did a review on this magazine on my blog
http://www.pastimesonline.ca/vals-quilting/2009/10/16/quilters-connection-magazine-entry-27.html)
it is such a great magazine with Canadian content – don’t miss out.
Valerie
http://www.pastimesonline.ca/vals-quilting
The easiest option is to get rid of some of her magazines. If the quilter shares with friends she could always borrow the mag if she needs to. Another option would be to remove only the projects she likes from the mags, storing them in a binder for later use. Or our quilter could scan the projects and save them on her computer or burn to a cd. I think saving projects on cd may be the best option for someone who needs to declutter because it doesn’t take up much space. The drawbacks are not being to take mags with you when you’re out and about or be able to see the projects unless you are using the computer. The cd could get scratched or misplaced.
I would love to be entered in the giveaway! I’m subscribing now! Have a great weekend
Good luck Rebecca, I hope you win. Happy Halloween! Scarlett
