Video Tutorial – Jacobs Ladder Quilts

April 14, by Shellie Wilson. Leave a Comment

Every month, Jenny, Misty, and Natalie demonstrate a different, unique approach to a favourite block, technique, or template. Each month, Star favourites Jenny, Misty, and Natalie demonstrate three new Jacob’s Ladder quilts.

In this episode, the talented Doan women demonstrate three gorgeous new quilts.

Natalie’s Jacob’s Ladder skybox is a kaleidoscope of intricate angels. Her fabric is Creativity Glows by Creativity Shell for Moda Fabrics.

Jenny’s Jacob’s Ladder star shines with colourful, scrappy stars on a sea of black. Her pattern was inspired by a Trip to the Altar block Jenny found in an antique store. Her fabric is The Lookout by Jen Kingwell Designs for Moda Fabrics.

Misty’s Woven Jacob’s Ladder has a pretty lattice layout in soft, modern florals. Her fabric is Midnight in the Garden by Sweetfire Road for Moda Fabrics.

These quilts are so beautiful and unique, but they’re all made with layer cakes, four patches, and half-square triangles. The magic is all in the layout! It’s simple to do, and it’s the source of their stunning looks. To learn more, click below.
