Can you really make a quilt in two hours? According to this tutorial from Storied Quilts you can, and with this easy and free pattern, I believe it. It’s an ideal pattern if you need a baby gift and are short on time. And with the lovely stepped pattern, it looks like you spent a lot more time on it.
What makes this quilt so easy is that the designer uses five fat quarters and just a few cuts to get the strips. Love it! I don’t know about you, but when I treat myself to a trip to my local quilt shop, I am always tempted to buy a fat quarter bundle. Now I have a good excuse!
When finished, the quilt measures about 36″ x 40″ so it’s perfect for a new little one. The pattern has a modern look to it. Not only would it be an ideal blanket to lay baby on, but it would look lovely hung on a wall in a baby’s room. You could even change up the colors and make a quick wall hanging for your own décor.
Sometimes it’s nice to have a quick quilt pattern to make. One doesn’t always feel like spending days or weeks on a project. This definitely gets you a quick result.
