Tutorial: Make your own binding

Most of us can crank out quilt tops and maybe even sandwiches with no problem. But, what about the finish? Fear of binding is for reals y’all. But Tova, of Professor Pincushion, aims to help us out. In her latest video tutorial, she covers the three essential skills you needs to finish a quilt. They are: 1. Determine how much fabric you need, 2. Cut selected fabric into strips and 3. Sew the strips to the quilt sandwich.

For the curious, she is turning a corner in this screenshot, a mitered one. And she’s doing it in style. Check out her nails. Polka dots, you gotta love them.
