Perfect for all of you scrap quilters, it’s time to start raiding your fabric stash. That way you can make this fun and easy pumpkin block and table runner pattern from Diary of a Quilter. The quilt block is bright and cheerful and can be turned into so many different items. Just check out the cute pillow that is in the photo.
I think it would be a lovely addition to any Halloween décor and it isn’t just for Halloween. This design fits right in with any fall decorations. Of course, if you are a pumpkin super fan or a Halloween fanatic, you could display it all year round.
The step by step tutorial provides detailed instructions for making the block. As an added, and totally awesome, bonus, the designer includes a free pattern for a table runner. What more can you ask for?
Made up of 30 patches, the pumpkin block measures 13 1/2″ x 13 1/2″ finished. The table runner measures 15 1/4″ x 57 1/2″. You can use up a whole bunch of scraps with this one. It’s also a fairly easy project so it comes together quickly and it is beginner-friendly.
