Perfect for showing off all of your fabric scraps or that fall charm pack you’ve been saving, this placemat pattern will look lovely on your autumn tablescape. I have always thought that placemats are an easy and quick way to change up the look of a dining room, and this design does just that.
With three mini maple leaves down one side and squares and fabric strips making up the rest of the top, the pattern from A Quilting Life, has easy-to-follow instructions. There are also plenty of photos to help you with assembly.
The instructions are for four placemats that measure 12 1/2″ x 15 1/2″ each. Along with a charm pack and some other scraps fabrics, you will need some standard quilting and sewing supplies. You will also need backing and batting.
This project is a call out for all of you quilters and sewists who save all of their scraps. I know that I am already looking through my scrap bins to see what fabrics I can pull out for these.
Bring some fall color into your home and welcome your Thanksgiving guests by making these festive placemats.
