Katie had me at Orla Kiely storage boxes. Not only are they stylish, they hold her quilting supplies in her newly created pressing/ironing station. Placing the ironing activity atop the shelf is the key to saving space. This project would work well in a dedicated sewing room or really any area in your home you carve out for quilting.

This is an excellent idea! I hope you remember me and my little story of how, I met a couple of ladies at the Local Project Linus meeting and we have been getting together 2 to 4 times a week at my home and quilting up a storm. An area like this would be perfect for us and even just myself; storage is a never ending issue for fabrics and crafting supplies, along with books and well the list goes on as any quilter/crafter knows. We also do hand embroidery projects and machine embroidery plus make projects for the local pet shelters and Nursing and Veterans.
I will be showing and discussing this idea with my husband and seeing if it is something we could do. Thank you so much for sharing it! Have a wonderful creative day!
