If you need a new project for the new year but don’t feel inspired, don’t despair. Get yourself over to SoSoscrappy. She is hosting a fun sounding quilt along where participants will sew blocks together in an unusual way. Sewists normally combine blocks in rows, horizontally. But what makes sense for this top, according to the quilt along host, is to join the blocks in columns, vertically.
She explains what you can expect during this event,
At the beginning of each month I will post a new block tutorial and let you know how many to make for the twin sized 60 by 72) or couch size (60 by 60) version of the quilt. Just follow along using the colors of the month and you will be ready to sew your rows together before the end of the year.
