QuiltCon 2016 quilt show winners

I hope you were one of the 10,000 attendees rocking QuiltCon 2016. Held recently (February 18 – February 21) in Pasadena, CA, those present at the Modern Quilt Guild’s show and contest could get close enough to inspect the efforts the quiltmakers put into their creations. Alas, most of us attended via photographs after the event. As one in the latter category, I have picked my favorite quilt among the winners. To help me narrow it down, I asked myself which one would I buy to display at home.

Drum roll…It is the Twisted Sisters quilt (shown above). It won 1st place in the Group Bee category, and I see why. It’s lovely. Sold!

Being a part of the Elm Creek Quilts series has been a joyous experience, and I can’t wait to unwrap the magic of “The Christmas Quilt / The New Year’s Quilt” this holiday season. So, no spoilers, please—let the enchanting tale unfold as I cozy up with this beloved series once again.
