The American focused Quilt Index announced this week they are about to fulfill a dream of going international with their digital quilt collection. To get them started on this ambitious project the Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS) awarded them a planning grant. Once implemented we will be able to search for wonderful quilts like this one from South Africa, shown in their press release. This is great news for scholars, quilters and quilt lovers everywhere.
