Ever wonder why so many DIYers show us tutes on needle keepers and pin cushions? Simple. We lose them mid-project. I cannot recall the last time it happened to me. Kidding. Truth is, I lost a needle Saturday after I took a break from hand quilting a wall hanging I’ll soon gift.
Panic-stricken, I dropped to the floor and felt all over the wooden planks, then couch cushions, my craft table and my pockets. Nothing. The worst outcome would be to find it later, with my bare feet, or my behind. It happens. But not this time. My threaded needle turned up in the arm of my couch.
And yes, I had a magnetic tray handy where it should have landed. But, maybe I need my holder closer, like the pin cushion wrist cuff I spied over at Feeling Stitchy.
