Newsy: UK Slow Textiles Group

Thanks to Kathrin of Annekata blog, I now know about the UK-based Slow Textiles Group formed in 2011 by Dr Emma Neuberg. Kathrin gives a nice overview of the organization in her post, Creating Islands of Slowness: Slow Textile Group, plus provides an imbedded link to their Lookbook.

Flipping through the Lookbook, I found this quilted wrap (pg 28) by designer Jessica Ogden. Love it!

A couple of pages later I spied this British Suffolk puff quilt. They explain,

We have a collection of vintage textiles that we use for reference and inspiration at the Slow Textiles Group workshops.

This group embraces creatives from all over the world (they offer memberships) who embroider, dye cloth, knit, weave and hand sew. Visit The Slow Textiles Group About page to learn more.
