Sue Spargo will be teaching a 5 day creative workshop at the Madeline Island School of the Arts located in Wisconsin, USA. Dates are September 26 – 30, 2011. Here’s her class information:

“Creating with Hand-dyed Wool and Textural Fabrics”

‘Folk Art Travel Journals’

We will be exploring contemporary folk-design using a combination

of hand-dyed wool and textural fabrics.  You will design and create

your own original quilt using journaling, including simple drawings

from nature.

I will demonstrate sewing techniques for hand-dyed wool, cottons

silk velvets, taffeta silks and ultra suede, as well as unique

embellishments using fibers, ribbons and beads.
