Quilters do love magazines devoted to their craft (I heart GenQ, for example), but experienced quilters will tell you it’s important to also look outside traditional sources for inspiration. In recent years, many have used the ubiquitous paint chip to choose interesting color palettes for their projects and with great results. Let’s take it up a notch.
This painted piece caught my eye over at Curbly. Stephanie Lee, the maker, takes her readers step-by-step sharing how to make it. I’m inspired to get out my fabrics. It’s easy to see in my mind’s eye, a mini quilt made up with shades and tints of the brilliant colors she used here.
Wall art with fabric or paint, either way is a decor win.
