If you are looking for a traditional basket quilt block then this tutorial is for you. This traditional block is not as hard to assemble as it looks and Adventures of a DIY Mom helps guide you through the entire process.
This block would be a good one to show off one or more of your favorite fabrics. It is also a great way to show off your half square triangle-making skills.
To make it you need standard quilt-making supplies. The author has also provided a handy chart showing you the cutting needed to make four different sizes of the block. I love that chart.
You will also find step-by-step instructions (along with detailed photos) to make one block.
Wouldn’t this be pretty incorporated into a scrap quilt? You could use the same background fabric and change up the baskets in each one. Or maybe make the larger triangle a different color than the smaller ones.
