Looking for a super simple quilt pattern? This lovely gingham quilt pattern over on Diary of a Quilter may be just what you want. The tutorial is written by a guest blogger, Elizabeth Chappell.
To make her quilt, the designer uses easy strip piecing. If you are not familiar with this method, there are plenty of step-by-step photos included. I’m guessing that, depending on what size quilt you are making, you could piece this quilt top in a day. Yes, it’s that easy.
The nice thing about it is that it is easy, but, boy is it striking. The use of three solid colors really sets off that gingham design. I also love that floral fabric used on the back of the quilt.

As a quilter, I find it nice to sometimes make a piece that is easy to put together. It’s a nice break from more detailed patterns.
