The Crafty Quilter brings us beautiful block and pattern for making a quilt for Quilts of Valor. This is an organization that provides quilts for members and veterans to give them comfort.

This free pattern is made with the ribbon star block and is easy to make. It is lap size when finished. The blog post has everything you will need to know, including fabric requirements. There is a downloadable pdf of the pattern so you can print it for easy reference.

It is a stunning, yet simple quilt. The ribbon star blocks add an interesting secondary pattern when they are all sewn together. In the pattern you will find a terrific method for making four half square triangles at a time. That is a definite time saver for this design.

Perfect for all of those red, white, and blue scraps fabric you may have, this is a lovely pattern.
