After 9.11, a good friend and I got busy. Every evening after work we sewed and stitched until we had a twin size bed quilt ready to ship to New York. Done, in two weeks. A few months later, we got a sweet note back from the distributor saying ours went to the son of a firefighter who died in one of the towers. We hoped our gift would be a warm comfort for years to come.
Monica, of Happy Zombie, totally gets it. Thinking of the forty-nine people who survived the Pulse nightclub attack, she got right to work on a quilt. She hopes others will join her efforts for Orlando. To that end, she’s sharing the pattern.

Good Morning Scarlett! This quilt is a perfect choice for the donation. People really need to feel the love of others during this time. It is a beautiful caring quilt that you chose. Thank you for time and commitment in research and creating quilts yourself and sharing that information. Have a fantastic creative day!
