Free pattern: Adapted Pine Burr Beauty block

The blue square surrounds one of the 12 blocks that make up the quilt you see here. Designed by Judy Martin for her 1985 book, “Scrap Quilts”, it’s a favorite of Lindsey Rhodes, blogger at LRStitched. Lindsey increased the size of the single block and made a mini quilt. Brilliant!

Lucky for us, she got Judy’s permission to adapt her quilt block pattern to paper piecing. It’s a method Lindsey believes assures quilters will get sharp points.
