Every now and then quilters love to make a mini quilt. They are usually quick to make, don’t use up a lot of fabric, and can be displayed in plenty of small spaces.
Those are only a few of the things that make this Salem mini quilt pattern from Threadbare Creations so appealing. The best thing about it is the wonderful design.
Standing proud in front of the moon, this cat named Salem was inspired by the television program Sabrina the Teenage Witch. This piece is perfect to show off at Halloween, although I think it would look great displayed all year long. I can think of quite a few cat lovers who would be very pleased to get this kitty as a gift.
The finished quilt measures 8″ x 12″, about the size of a piece of notebook paper, so it truly is a mini. It is a paper pieced pattern with a number of different sections to assemble. The designer provides helpful step-by-step instructions to guide you through the process. She even has ideas for using the pattern to make other items like a larger quilt or a table runner.
