Free diagram: Summer Hexagon Quilt

June 22, 2016 by Scarlett Burroughs

Hexagon Quilt Layout Diagram TwiddletailsThe colors in this hexie give us a counterpoint to the wicked summer heat most of the US is experiencing this week. The designer uses cool greens, a bluish pink and a touch of white to create the tranquil feel of this quilt. Thankfully, quilts don’t just provide bed cover. I’d use this one to top a dining room table or take along to my next picnic.

Editor’s Note: This diagram assumes you know how to create hexagons via English Paper Piecing (EPP). Also, if you want to use a quilt in summer for your bed cover, you can always omit the batting to keep things cool.
