Table runners are one of those easy makes that usually comes together quickly. They are the ideal way to spruce up your home. Haven’t you ever noticed how the look of a room can change when you change a table runner? They also make lovely housewarming gifts, and I find that most people appreciate getting handmade items for their homes.
As someone who likes to change up her table runners all the time, I am always looking for new runner designs. This fall one from The Stitching Scientist immediately caught my eye.
Measuring about 12″ x 45″, it is an easy pattern made with scrap fabrics. Full disclosure here, I absolutely love scrap fabric quilt projects. If it’s scrappy, then chances are pretty good that I am going to love it.
The designer used a fall themed charm pack for her table runner, and it fits the autumnal look perfectly. This tutorial provides step-by-step instructions and photos to walk you through the entire project.
This would be a good beginner project for someone to try. Alternately, for someone with more experience, it would be a quick and fun table runner to add to a collection.
