Free GO! Diamonds in the Rough Wall Hanging Pattern

The GO! Diamonds in the Rough Wall Hanging Pattern shows just how dramatically clever colour placement can transform a traditional quilt block.

Designed by Lissa LaGreca of Lovingly Lissa, this 30-inch square wall hanging uses the GO! Double Star 10-inch Finished Die. Although the entire project is cut using one Block on Board die, the finished layout creates a sparkling diamond design that looks wonderfully intricate.

I love the potential for experimenting with colour. Choose rich jewel tones for a gemstone effect, bright modern fabrics for something bold or soft neutrals for a more understated wall hanging.

The pattern is currently available as a free download for AccuQuilt members. You will need a free account and the GO! Double Star 10-inch Finished Die to make it.

This is a lovely smaller project for trying the Double Star die without committing to a full quilt. At 30 x 30 inches, it is large enough to make an impact but still manageable to piece, quilt and display.
