Emily at The Student/Teacher made this travel quilt for her one year old niece using a traditional plus sign design. This was on purpose. She explains,

I went with the plus sign design because I know my sister feels ambivalent about needing a travel quilt in the first place. I know that she occasionally feels inwardly upset about needing to take Sophie to a babysitter for a few hours each week.

She also shares how she made the quilt travel worthy. It’s not made of 100% cotton, the usual fabric for quilts. Click HERE to find out what it’s made of and more.
