Rita of Red Pepper Quilts talks about her lovely Lifesavers quilt on her blog. She says she often sews while listening to music or watching a DVD or TV show. In one of my quilt books the author recommends listening to opera as the best way to enhance creativity. Do you listen to music or watch a movie while you sew? If so, I’d love to hear about it, just leave a comment.

I usually quilt in the silent mode. We’re retired, and my husband is usually home. We don’t like the same music, so it’s just easier to not play any.

I always watch tv shows or movies while quilting. I am bored by just watching tv and grew up knitting and sewing while listening to plays on tape or watching movies with my family. I like having something on in the background, it distracts me from aching backs etc. that way I also don’t get too focused on the sewing and frustrated
