Linda Moran of Marbled Musings created the marbled effect you see on this piece of fabric. I think it’s amazing, don’t you? Now, with marbled fabric and some batting, she quilts the layers together using the pattern on the fabric as a stitching guide. Yep, I’m dizzy just thinking about it, but she shares how to do it on her blog. Get the tutorial.

There’s more. She’s so sure you’ll love her quilting marbled fabric technique, she is giving away two of her hand marbled cotton fabric fat quarters (FQs) to get you started. There will be two drawings, and each winner will receive one Fat Quarter from her Etsy shop.

To get a chance to win, here’s what you need to do. Leave a comment stating which marbled fat quarter you like best from her Etsy shop. For an extra entry, show her some love on her Facebook page (Marble-T Design) then come back here and tell me you did so. That’s two chances. For a third chance, you can sign up for her newsletter. Again, leave a comment here, saying you subscribed or already subscribe.

    I love the one with red and black with yellow highlights: it reminds me of a theatre curtain waiting to go up, so there’s all the excitement and anticipation there.

    Of all the shop.. the ribbons were my favorite! Of the fabrics, I really (!!) liked the reds, blacks with yellow highlights. But isn’t amazing how different they all were!!

    holy coolness!
    I can’t get over how many layers of ingeniousness are involved in her work.
    It’s difficult to pick just one of her pieces, but i love the simplicity of the cotton fat quarter in greys and tans. The ‘rough waters’ wall hanging just emphasizes her brilliance.
