Black Friday is upon us. And to celebrate, I am giving away a brand new GO! Baby Fabric Cutter to one lucky Craft Gossip reader thanks to the generous folks at AccuQuilt. This mechanical cutting machine is designed for the needs of quilters, it has the 1/4″ seam allowance included in all their dies. Need more info on it? Here’s their product description:

Cutting little bitty fabric pieces precisely in a matter of seconds is no problem for the AccuQuilt GO! Baby Fabric Cutter. This baby is up to 90% faster than scissors or a rotary cutter and is a whole lot safer and easier on your hands and wrists, too. The GO! Baby lets you cut up to six layers of fabric at once, absolutely perfectly, every time. You’ll love how easy it is. All you need to get started is a cutting die or two, a cutting mat and your favorite fabrics. Perfect for beginners!

How to enter contest: Want one for yourself or to gift? Leave a comment (one entry only) telling me what crafty thing you are working on this Thanksgiving week/weekend. If it’s just turkey and/or shopping, let me know that too! Have a Happy Thanksgiving whatever you do to celebrate it.

Contest ends Nov 23, 2012. Sorry, but this is for US residents only. Be sure and include your email address in the comment form so I can contact you if you are the winner!

Even if you don’t win this, be sure and check out AccuQuilt online for some great stuff, like their Black Friday Eight Days of Deals, running now through Nov 26. I see today (Nov 19) they have the Go! Baby on sale for $89.00, regular price is $139.00. Woo hoo!

I have machine embroidered 15 free-standing lace Christmas ornaments (little lace gift boxes with bows on top)) for family and close friends. I make ornaments each yr for them, but this year’s ornament has already used up almost four 5,000yd cones of thread. I am also attaching 12 Swarovski crystals to each box, so they really sparkle. Have made tags for each one to note the year it was made and my husband’s and my wish for a Happy ) I am also making a flower garden quilt (throw size) for my sister, who is in a nursing home and not doing very well. And, I have made 20 commuter bibs (which also work well for the elderly) to send to my sister to distribute as gifts to the residents of the nursing home where she resides. I have made at least 100 of these bibs over the past 6 yrs for mostly elderly, but they are great to keep in the car, too. This is the first year I’ve made a large qty of them just for Christmas giveaways, though. I’ve been very ambitious this year, but I started earlier than usual, too! :-)
