Twenty parishes in Louisiana, USA, endured historic flooding this week. Artist Asja Boro created this work, a free download at The Free Art Project, with no thought to this event, how could she? But, as soon as I saw it, it made me think of what comes just after a calamitous storm. The sun comes out, waters recede. Then comes clean-up. I also thought this would make a fantastic applique and embroidered quilt. Quilters, what do you think?
