Gee’s Bend ‘House Top’ quilt kit

I found this awe inspiring quilt called House Top at eQuilter.com this morning and to my delight I see it’s a kit. It’s from ‘The Quilts of Gee’s Bend’ collection by Rita Mae Pettway for Windham Fabrics. Finished quilt is 51″ x 62″.

Painterly Batik Cascade

I want one of everything in this new fabric line Batik Cascade by Karen Combs. My daughter just finished her first quilt, for a doll. I’m very pleased and proud of her. At one point during the making of it, she said, “I just don’t understand why anyone would have a stash, just use the fabric when you buy it.” I explained quilters use fabric like painters use paint. This painterly Batik Cascade is exactly what I was talking about. Divine.
