Best storefront winner + giveaway

August 18, by Scarlett Burroughs. 37 Comments

TieBreaker Winner The Quilt Shop You’ve done it. You’ve broken the tie between the top two contenders in my Best Fabric Shop Storefront Contest. And the winner is…drum roll please…The Quilt Shop. This fabric shop is located in a picturesque Victorian village – Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Known as a haven for artists, I’ve heard from a reliable source (a sister to a working artist living there now), the city understands the seasonal nature of their income (think tourist town) and work with them on paying things like water and electricity during the cold winter months when the place is deserted. To clarify, we’re talking months, not years!

In honor of The Quilt Shop, I’m hosting a giveaway to a lucky Craft Gossip reader for a half yard bundle of each fabric in “Flutter” by Laura Gunn from Hawthorne Threads. With names like, Painters Canvas, it’s a fitting fabric collection for artists who work with fabric instead of paint. Pictured below is the Candy palette but the winner can choose any of the three color palettes, the other two are Sky and White. Contest Laura Gunn To be in the draw, leave a comment on this post by this Thursday, and tell me which of the fabric swatches above inspire you. Personally, I love the butterflies and birds. Good luck! Remember, contest ends at midnight August 21, 2014.

I like the entire palette together. I see a quilt pattern already called ‘Garden Path.’ This would be ideal! BTW, I have been to this quilt shop (2 hours away) Many times and it has inspired me! I’ve even bought a quilt or two there. Eureka Spgs is a must” go to “place for art inspired shoppers, and eclectic collectors!
